Comfort was a little more fluid than Roadhog, but still a songwriter-focused aggregation, appropriate for the mid-70s. They recorded, though did not release, an entire album, and toured the East Coast with and without the Jerry Garcia Band. Although Roadhog skidded to a halt, Hunter came back on stage a year later with another band, Comfort. B y 1976, Hunter was appearing under his own name with Roadhog, who played in a sort of honky-tonk style. Hunter also released two albums on Round Records, although initially the fact that he was performing was a kind of secret.
